The Maasai Project of Pikolinos and ADCAM emerged as a work of corporate social responsibility with which to help an endangered people.
In 2010 the first collection was launched. Then model Adriana Karembeu joined the initiative as the image of the campaign. The world’s longest-legged model accompanied William in promoting the project in Europe.
A year later, in 2012, the most international Spanish model, Eugenia Silva, took over. Eugenia traveled to Kenya to get to know the project firsthand and sit with the women who hand embroider the pieces of skin under a tree.
Well, during 2013 the image of this initiative will be embodied in the New York model Olivia Palermo. The It-Girl was featured as such on the Spanish Soho Mile in New York. In October 2012 Olivia traveled to Kenya and was able to get to know Maasai people firsthand. She was accompanied by model and photographer Johannes Huelb, in charge of the photographic campaign.
